Assistant Marketing Manager

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with KC licensing and licensees on all product and territory launches, expansions, markets, co-op plans, events, marketing initiatives and creative requests
  • Work closely with licensees to understand specific business goals by season, build compelling marketing programs to help deliver against those goals, and execute smoothly across all consumer touch-points
  • Research and explore new ways to build business according to business objectives
  • Look for ways to leverage existing brand initiatives and make them work harder
  • Work with cross functional teams to explore and present ways to incorporate “the world of Kenneth Cole, one brand” in all initiatives
  • Work closely with all teams to ensure brand standards are being met and implemented accordingly on a consistent basis
  • Partner with external and internal teams on a seasonal basis to ensure key products are being shot for seasonal marketing use (in-store, digital, social, etc.)
  • Help execute seasonal marketing strategies aligned with brand goals and priorities, designed to balance increased traffic and revenue goals integrity needs, and shift/improve brand perception and desirability
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners including licensing, creative and visual merchandising teams, legal, public relations, social media corporate citizenship, merchants, business planning, retail, outlet and store operations to ensure marketing is working collaboratively across the brand
  • Partner with Licensee and Licensing to measure, report on, and evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of marketing programs and provide recommendations for future
  • Partner with Brand team to manage concept, execution, and production of all marketing materials including: in-store collateral, packaging, market materials, event signage/display, etc.
  • Create and brief jobs, gather and organize all necessary support info for briefing
  • Hold weekly touch bases, calls with licensed partners and internal teams. Maintain agenda and recaps
  • Research and share updates on competitive brands as it relates to: events, marketing activations, branding, seasonal campaign, product, brand and technology launches.
  • Manage marketing calendar as it relates to domestic licensed categories to ensure all key dates are accounted for on a seasonal basis
  • Work closely with brand marketing team to ensure alignment with global licensed, wholesale, retail and outlet initiatives. Determine where / how existing assets can be leveraged to optimize efforts.
  • Review marketing budgets as provided by licensed partners in support of category and product launches, expansions, events, etc.
  • Manage marketing budget as it relates to seasonal imagery support


As the Assistant Manager of Brand Marketing, you will be responsible for driving the success of partnerships and marketing programs across all points of distribution, while applying the Kenneth Cole brand filters in all channels of communication.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing Communications or related degree
  • 5-7 years of Marketing experience and working in a related licensed setting. Experience in lifestyle brand a plus
  • Must be team player as well have the confidence to work independently when needed
  • Experience in managing relationships with diverse group of licensed partners
  • Must be able to multi task and be comfortable in a fast pace environment
  • Strong communicator and presenter
  • Must be detail oriented and results driven
  • Proactive thinker, versatile and a problem solver
  • Must possess a positive, “can do” attitude and commitment to the Kenneth Cole brand
