Overview

The E-Commerce Associate Buyer will be responsible for driving profitable top line and margin growth for the assigned categories on the E-commerce site. Works closely with the Senior Director of Buying to buy, develop E-commerce exclusives, and help develop strategies to improve the business and efficiencies. Build and maintain strong relationships amongst all business partners including vendors, production, design, planning, site merchandising, and the rest of the E-Commerce team

  • Drive sales and margin through assisting in product buys and merchandising, while presenting new strategies and opportunities for assigned product categories
  • Seek out E-commerce exclusive and opportunity buys based on business
  • Help determine trend and direction of future assortments
  • Creation and maintenance of assortment sheet for product categories
  • Assist in the maintenance of the OTB and manage the receipt flow
  • Pull and organize reporting data into a concise format, in order to summarize key learnings and share with cross functional partners
  • Hindsight weekly, monthly and seasonal sales down to the color/size level to analyze the business, establishing best and worst sellers and relaying information to cross-functional partners to develop in season and go forward product strategies to react to trends and address opportunities to maximize sales and profitability
  • Offer merchandise suggestions for pages, sales, cross-sells and feature shops to maximize the customer’s shopping experience
  • Ensure all product arrives and goes live as scheduled, especially for featured products.
  • Suggest promotions on a weekly basis, to drive sales and profitability
  • Monitor trends and the strengths of the competition, present findings and new ideas to the E-Commerce team
  • Associate is responsible for all day to day managing, planning and executing within their department

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written and decision-making skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Possesses strong retail math skills
  • Minimum 3 years of buying experience, preferably in Footwear
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • E-Commerce experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
